Abstract
This article presents the basic steps for programming an automated machine focusing on lathe and milling machines with Computer Numerical Control (CNC). The objective is to introduce the fundamental programming concepts for the industry's two most commonly used controllers. This guide provides the step-by-step programming process supported by concrete theoretical material, allowing readers to delve into machine language learning and provide essential information in programming. The offered result is educational in nature, allowing beginners to analyze the solved exercise, replicate it, and with the concepts learned, be able to perform the proposed activity. This document is to be an initiation into programming automated machines, primarily the lathe and milling machines.
