Principia Iuris is a scientific academic journal published by Universidad Santo Tomás – Tunja Branch, dedicated to disseminating research in the field of law and socio-legal studies. Its editorial line is inspired by the fundamental principles of Domitius Ulpian "to live honestly, to harm no one, and to give each their due" which guides the journal in promoting an ethical, critical, and reflective approach to contemporary legal issues. It publishes articles in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, and welcomes contributions addressing topics such as public and private law, criminal law and criminology, human rights, philosophy and theory of law, international law, transitional justice, public policy, and related areas.

Our journal, Principia Iuris, is the institutional journal published by the Law School of the University of Santo Tomás, Tunja Campus, which accepts submissions on an ongoing basis, is published biannually, and features unpublished legal and socio-legal research papers. It brings together national and international authors whose aim is to contribute continuously to the construction, deconstruction, reconstruction, and evolution of the legal sciences from a South American perspective.
