Abstract

This article is the result of a pedagogical reflection based on the academic experience developed in the orientation of the Didactics of teaching Spanish as a foreign language in the Diploma in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, to a group of students from the University of Santo Tomás -Tunja. The course was offered virtually and with a total of 100 hours in conjunction with the subjects of Linguistics of Spanish and Culture and Design of Materials, as part of the Diploma in ELE. The three subjects together provided the basic epistemological knowledge and methodological guidelines to strengthen Spanish language teaching skills. To unlearn to learn to teach the Spanish language is to understand that it is not enough to speak the language; it is essential to prepare oneself to face this challenge.
