Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the techniques that refer to an activity, a support, a tool or a way of working by the teacher in this case, when working on oral competence at level A2 of French as a language foreigner (FLE) in a public university in Colombia. This qualitative research focuses on a case study in which researchers want to know and describe the use of techniques to develop oral comprehension and oral production in A2 level students. In addition, researchers adopt the interview, observation and focus group as instruments to collect data and find out if the use of these techniques is significant and sufficient for the foreign language learning process. This study seeks to answer the following question: What are the techniques used by teachers and how do they use them to work on the oral proficiency at level A2?
