Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the incidence of artificial intelligence (AI) in
the teaching-learning processes of high school students and teachers in the tenth and eleventh
grades. The methodology has a qualitative, descriptive and inductive approach. A
questionnaire was applied as an instrument for data collection and analysis. The results of
the research are presented from the questionnaire applied to students and teachers of the
Tunja Educational Center, detailing the following findings: 62% of the teachers use artificial
intelligence tools for planning tasks, activities and evaluations, 50% use artificial intelligence
to prepare classes, and 65% use artificial intelligence for feedback and evaluation. With
respect to the students, there is an incipient knowledge and much interest in understanding
the AI tools, as well as their interest in learning about these tools in the classroom and taking
them to their daily lives, students feel motivated to use artificial intelligence because it
facilitates access to knowledge and allows them to explore and create their own
learning. Finally, it was observed in the research results that there is a significant use of
artificial intelligence tools by teachers, that these tools can motivate students and that the
perception of AI in the educational context is an area of interest for both students and
teachers.
