Abstract

This article analyzes the principle of minimum intervention of criminal law in the context of money laundering, suggests that the current sanctioning approach is proving insufficient to effectively combat this phenomenon. It is argued that, beyond legal dogmatics, it is necessary to address the problem from political philosophy, positioning ethics as the ideal tool for crime prevention. Money laundering is defined as the process of giving a semblance of legality to money derived from illicit activities.
