Red Neuronal Artificial Para La Estimación De Datos Faltantes De Precipitación En La Estación El Encanto Del Municipio De Tunja, Boyacá

Resumen

La ausencia y discontinuidad de registros de precipitación limitan la evaluación hidrológica, la planificación del recurso hídrico y la gestión del riesgo climático en zonas de montaña como Tunja, Boyacá. Esta investigación desarrolló y evaluó un modelo de red neuronal artificial para estimar datos faltantes de precipitación mensual en la estación El Encanto, usando como insumos registros de estaciones vecinas con comportamiento pluviométrico correlacionado, variables geográficas y el Índice Oceánico Niño (ONI). La metodología incluyó la depuración de registros del DHIME, la clasificación de los meses según patrones de completitud, la normalización de variables, el entrenamiento con TensorFlow/Keras y la validación mediante MAE, RMSE, R², eficiencia de Nash, PBIAS y pruebas estadísticas de comparación. Los resultados muestran un desempeño aceptable para reconstruir la tendencia y estacionalidad mensual (MAE = 19.3 mm; RMSE = 31.6 mm; R² = 0.44; PBIAS = 13.6 %), aunque con limitaciones para reproducir eventos extremos y la variabilidad de los meses lluviosos. El enfoque es útil como apoyo técnico para completar series, siempre que sus estimaciones se interpreten con control de calidad hidrológico.
